Linguistics is study of languages. In this one is taught different aspects viz development of Grammer, usages, origin and nuances etc. While study of a particular language is different. In this one is taught about a particular language only.

Psychology indeed is a very special subject and hence MA. In this without taking this in graduation may not be feasible. You have not mentioned as to what was your subject in BA. If you had psychology then no issues.

There is no such course called MA Chemistry. It's M.Sc Chemistry.

Eligibility:
As a minimum criterion of eligibility, aspiring candidates need to have completed:
Higher and Senior Secondary levels of education (classes X and XII) with a minimum aggregate score of 60%. Graduation (B.Sc. with Chemistry as one of the main subjects), with a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates). Often, candidates are required to qualify as an institute, State or national-level entrance test for admission to M.Sc Chemistry.
