Yes you are eligible. The eligibility criteria of M.Des. Courses of NID and NIFT is a 3 or 4 years duration Bachelor degree. For more details please visit http://www.nid.edu/ and https://nift.ac.in/.

The eligibility criteria of NIFT's M.Des is given below. Eligibility : Undergraduate Degree in any discipline from any Institute / University recognised by law in India
or Undergraduate Diploma of minimum three years duration from NIFT / NID. Age : No upper age limit. Last date for online registration : 24.01.2021

No this is not necessary because NID and NIFT conducts their own entrance exam for M.Des admissions. However one can get admission in top design institutes in M.Des courses through CEED. The objective of the Common Entrance Exam for Design CEED is to assess the candidates aptitude for design involving visual perception ability, drawing skills, logical reasoning, creativity, communication, and problem solving skills. CEED is conducted by IIT Bombay.
