Both DNB and MS Ophthalmology are recognised postgraduate qualifications in India. Here's how they compare:

---|---|---|
Recognition | MCI/NMC recognized | NBE recognized, equivalent to MS |
Type of Institute | Medical colleges | Accredited hospitals/private institutions |
Difficulty Level | Structured exams, more predictable | Higher exam failure rate, considered tougher |

Expected Cut-off (Based on Previous Years):
For General Category (CBSE Board):
Minimum percentage required in PCB/PCM stream: Around 92–95%+ in Class 12th (best of four including English & relevant science subjects)
For Reserved Categories (OBC, SC/ST, EWS): Typically 5–10% lower than General category cut-off.
Note: These are estimates based on past trends (2022–2024), as DTU doesn't always publish detailed round-wise cut-offs publicly for Integrated M.Sc. programs.
