It is also quite possible to get into an MS programme in the US with a CGPA of less than 7. But acceptance will see higher competition. Steps you can take are:

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali has released for admission to BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) programmes. As per the IISER Mohali cutoff 2024, the last round closing rank is 1138 for all the BS-MS specialisations. According to IISER Mohali cutoff 2023, the last round closing ranks were 706, respectively. Comparing the two years' cutoffs, an improving trend can be seen in the cutoff released in 2024. Candidates preparing for IISER Mohali 2024 admission can refer to the table given below to check out the specialisation-wise Round 1 cutoff for 2024.

Yes, IISER Mohali offers scholarships to BS-MS students. The institute provides KVPY scholars as well as INSPIRE scholarships to candidates enrolled through the JEE Advanced and SCB channels. To get these scholarships, candidates must ensure that they have good scores in the respective entrance examinations.

Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conduct an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BS-MS dual degree programme offered by them. Candidates who cleared their Class 12 in the Science stream will be eligible to apply for the IISER Entrance Exam 2024. IISER 2024 entrance examination is conducted once in every year.
