Similar to other courses, students will be asked 100 questions in a duration of 90 minutes. Each question will carry one mark. Questions will be asked from the sections/subjects of physics, chemistry, and mathematics. Section-wise number of questions are provided in the table below

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali has released for admission to BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) programmes. As per the IISER Mohali cutoff 2024, the last round closing rank is 1138 for all the BS-MS specialisations. According to IISER Mohali cutoff 2023, the last round closing ranks were 706, respectively. Comparing the two years' cutoffs, an improving trend can be seen in the cutoff released in 2024.
