It is also quite possible to get into an MS programme in the US with a CGPA of less than 7. But acceptance will see higher competition. Steps you can take are:

The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali has released for admission to BS and BS-MS (Dual Degree) programmes. As per the IISER Mohali cutoff 2024, the last round closing rank is 1138 for all the BS-MS specialisations. According to IISER Mohali cutoff 2023, the last round closing ranks were 706, respectively. Comparing the two years' cutoffs, an improving trend can be seen in the cutoff released in 2024. Yes, IISER Mohali offers scholarships to BS-MS students. The institute provides KVPY scholars as well as INSPIRE scholarships to candidates enrolled through the JEE Advanced and SCB channels. BS-MS students at IISER can avail the Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana scholarship a National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
