Other than that if you plan to study in a particular country then its government and universities have many schemes, you can browse university websites for the same. For example Commonwealth Scholarship for UK, Erasmus Mundus for Netherlands and Europe, Endeavour Scholarship for Australia, Fulbright Scholarship for USA, etc.

Your education background must be relevant, this is the first and foremost requirement. If you have done a MS in Chemistry then see that the PG Diploma you want to pursue is relevant. You have to check the IELTS requirements because for MS programs universities in Canada generally ask for 6.5 with no section less than 6.
