The university offers MBA courses at the PG level for the duration of two years, and it also offers MBA courses as an integrated BMS+MBA programme for the duration of five years. The courses are offered in several specialisations, such as Tourism, Rural Management Entrepreneurship Development, etc. 

No, CAT is not compulsory to get admissions into the MBA course at Thapar University because the university accepts several other entrance examinations too for admission into the MBA course, such as MAT, SNAP, XAT, etc. Therefore, CAT can be considered as one of the accepted entrance examinations for admissions to MBA courses. However, it is not compulsory.
