Yes, you can get lateral entry to the MCA program's 3rd semester, if you have a PGDCA or PGDIT degree from a recognised university. It will save you 1 year and you'll get admission directly to the 2nd year.

Both CIT Bangalore and NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology are good options to pursue MCA. However, in terms of affordability,  CIT is more affordable since the tuition fee to pursue MCA at CIT Bangalore is INR 4.5 lakh, and the tuition fee to pursue MCA at NITTE Meenakshi Institute of Technology is INR 7 lakh.

As per official sources, the fees to pursue MCA at CIT Bangalore and BMS Institute of Technology and Management is INR 4.5 Lacs and INR 7 lakh, respectively. In terms of fees, CIT is a better choice.
