If you interested in automobile engine design then go for Automobile Engineering. However you are open for other type of engine design such as aircraft engine then study Mechanical and then persue specialisation at MTech.

It is not amongst the most preferred colleges. since jobs are applied off campus and Canadian citizen are given better preferences. You need to apply to premier institutions and if possible go to Usa where there are abundant jobs.

Hi Ajith,
We have three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering offered by polytechnic colleges. B Tech in Mechanical Engineering is called an evergreen branch. There are post graduate specializations for M Tech such as Thermal Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Machine Design, Energy Management, Nano Technology etc. Certification courses in Mechanical Engineering might include CAD,CAM courses, Quality and Piping related courses and so on.

University of Saskatchewan is a reputed university, however for mechanical engineering you may also look at University of Waterloo, University of Ottawa, University of Toronto, McMaster University, McGill University and University of Alberta.

Hi Dinesh,
Salary is a function of various factors - i.e. (i) the institute where you have completed your B.Tech + M.Tech. e.g. a graduate from a top institute will command a higher salary. (ii) Your work experience - organization and type of work profile (iii) city - a metropolitan city will have higher salaries as compared to smaller cities and towns. (iv) Your current organization - i.e. where you will be joining - an MNC usually has higher salaries as compared to other organizations. (v) Your work profile i.e. Manager/ AVP, etc. Thus one cannot allocate a figure.
