The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The syllabus includes some core subjects, interesting electives, and lab work that gives detailed knowledge to the students about the workings of the field.

If you want to study a PhD in Mechanical Engineering course, it will take you around 3 to 5 years to complete the entire coursework, as it involves in-depth research on a particular topic, including field visits and project work. You need to submit a final thesis at the end of the course duration that is backed by original findings.
