The time required for the entrance test preparation for the BTech Mechanical Engineering course cannot be said with any certainty, but to get the best results, you must begin your preparation at least 6 to 8 months before the final exam is scheduled.

This approach will give you enough time to go through all the topics given in the exam syllabus and revise each section so that you have high chances of getting excellent marks and being shortlisted in the merit lists released by the colleges.

To apply for the BTech in Mechanical Engineering admission at popular Indian colleges, you need to fill out the college application forms released in the online mode by the colleges. Almost all of the popular colleges follow the online application procedure where you have to fill in all the details correctly, upload the scanned copies of all important documents, and pay the application fee via UPI or net banking.

However, there may be a few colleges that still follow the old approach of offline form filling at the admission window for which you must check the websites of your preferred colleges for accurate information.

Pursuing Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) for Mechanical Engineering under the Management Quota will cost INR 80,000 a year in fees. If you're considering taking up the hostel, an extra INR 72,000 to 75,000 a year should cover your food and stay. The best part is, if you're the first in your family to graduate, you could be eligible for a INR 25,000 concession, which really takes some pressure off. In order to obtain the most current information, contacting the college itself is always the best option.

The available data indicates that Lokmanya Tilak College of Engineering (LTCE) does not provide traditional part-time B.E. in Mechanical Engineering for students who finished their diploma and work full-time jobs because most Indian universities exclude part-time B.Tech programs. At the same time some institutions might adapt their schedule for diploma holders to study B.Tech.
