Excellent infrastructure and well-equipped labs of Vivekananda Institute of Technology, makes it a place to choose Mechanical engineering. The emphasis of dept. Is always to push the students to think for research and innovation so that they can be prepared not only for a good placement opportunity but also be prepared to think about industrial startups. The Robotics club adds a extra feature to Mechanical students because about all industries prefer students with Mechanical branch with a knowledge of robotics. Successful qualification of class X, with a minimum aggregate score of 55%, with any of:
*ITI certificate
*Certificate in Motorcycle Service and Repair (CMSR)
After 12th:
Successful qualification of class XII with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects, and a minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
Most institutes offering the course admit students based on performance in a relevant entrance test. Admission process generally varies across colleges. A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidates' performance at the 10th level.
