There is no restriction as to how many students can appear for this entrance exam for selecting candidates for admission directly into the third semester of 8-semester engineering courses. Both branches are good. In both of the branches you have more chances to get jobs in core fields, you have more chances to get jobs in government sector as well as private sector. Both are opposite branches. Mostly this depends on your interest you can choose either EEE or mech.

UGC has directed all universities to stop offering professional courses under distance mode of education. Hence this route is not for you.
