Career Scope- No doubt, Piping engineering has more career scope compared to HVAC, since there are vast modules involved that too with different areas to choose I. e from Layout, Stress & Materials. Competitiveness in Industry- Here, unfortunately, chances are less that you may get a job as a fresher since MNC companies like Jacobs, Petrofac and others hire only experienced candidates (unless you are campus placed), so it may become very difficult to get a break in the industry. The intake also includes admission to students under Self Supported Schemes (SSS) and State Rank Holders of (10+2) Science Examinations of NE States securing above 85% in aggregate.
So, there is no need to give any entrance exam separately for B.Tech programs.

Highest _: Around 9 l.PA
Avg -: 5-6 LPA

I think you should ho with NIT Kurukshetra as it is a reputed and prestigious institute of the country and would surely provide you all round exposure.

There are less chances for you to get ME in NIT KKR with this rank.
The cut-off generally goes around 17k-18k. So, I don't think you can get mechanical here, but you can try for other branches such as Civil, Electrical, PIE.
