Average package: - 3.5 LPA (aggregate of all branches)
Highest package: - 8 LPA (aggregate of all branches)

Hi there,
It's one of the good colleges for engineering. But recently this college got autonomous status that makes it stand out from rest of the colleges.
It is well-disciplined one with good faculty, good placement, well-equipped library and laboratories. The campus is compact and well architecture.
Placements:-
Average package:- Rs 5 lakhs
MIT institutes follow central placement system. Placement procedure is generally held at main MIT Kothrud campus hence students of Alandi campus have to travel every time and come at Kothrud. But this scenario may change from 2016-17 batch as MITAOE has got autonomy.

Why do you want to go in arts field, as you have done B.Tech. You can prepare for exams like GATE, GRE for higher education in M.Tech or job in company.

Change of branch on completion of first year is permitted in majoroty of Engineering colleges. Each college and university has its own rules and regulations for change of branch in second year. You may check with college administration or your seniors about branch change process.

Well B.Tech in ME from Bits Pilani is better option as
Placements : Placements of the college are very good. More than 90% students get placed every year.
The minimum salary offered is 4 lakhs per annum and the maximum is 10.5 lakhs per annum. Many companies in different streams visit the college for placements. Some companies come for internships only and they provide pre-placement offers to the selected students. Almost 98% of students get an internship from the college.
