Taking a gap of 2 years itself will not be considered against you when you apply for a job, but surely any recruiter will like to know what you did in these two years. If you can give a correct and cogent explanation of what you did, then it will not be counted against you, however, remember in these two years many more engineering graduates of the mechanical branch would have entered the stream for the job and you will have to compete with them. But fundamentally speaking if your knowledge is good & if you have done something worthwhile in these two years of your hibernation I think you should get a good job.

Admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHCET) or rank obtained in JEE-Mains.
For international students admission is through counseling conducted by DTE Maharashtra based on marks obtained in mandatory subjects in 10+2.
