Go for M.Tech if you are extremely sharp in the technical field, otherwise, the best you can do is MBA in IT. After MBA, you can start your own IT business rather than working for someone else.

No, you can't do part-time B.Tech as it is not recognized and entertained by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).

Mechanical engineering, any day. It's a traditional engineering branch that has promising career options. MIT is far ahead of VIT in terms of faculty and placement. Also, the campus is cool and is situated in the hills. I'd suggest you go for mechanical engineering especially if you are interested in machines and a better career.

If you have very high percentage in Diploma, then try to get admission in any IIT/NIT, BITS Pilani. Otherwise, you can seek admission in any IIIT or prestigious university like DU, university of Hyderabad, SRM University.
