Yes, it is good as you are getting a Masters degree in mechanical engineering that means you need to do specialisation in any particular field so that more companies offer you a good job.

The BITSAT scores are not considered for admission into IITs. Only the JEE Advanced scores and your ranks determine your admission into IITs. I think you can get IITs, but if you don't, then go for BITS as you are saying that you are having a good score in BITSAT.
Both are almost equal but BITs Pilani is a private university, whereas IIT is a government one so fee structure will be a huge difference.
