Mechanical engineer can have a very bright future in Canada. For study purpose there are diploma & PG diploma courses of 13 years in fields like designing, heavy material equipment, project management, electromechanical automation & robotics, etc.
For doing job, we all know that Canada is not well populated country. And so, competition is much lesser than in Australia. Besides that, there is always requirement of skilled human resources. And there are oil rigs in Alberta, which provides many great opportunities, in oil & gas sector if interested.

Hello,
If you are thinking about Government college, firstly, you have to clear entrance exam like JEE Mains and Advanced, BITSAT, VITEEE, etc. for these exams. You should have 60% marks in 12 board exam. After admission, it doesn't matter. And if you are thinking about private college for engineering, as per my knowledge its depend on college.

Hello Kiran,
There are many things that you can do in the final year of engineering, but remember scoring handsomely in the last year should be your aim and not appearing for different exams. Additionally, you now have to decide as to which direction you want to take. You can pursue PG in engineering by taking GATE. You can pursue MBA by taking CET, you can join administrative services of Government of India by appearing for UPSC. Sky is the limit. But don't deviate from the immediate goal.
Best wishes.
