Automobile engineering is a part of Mechanical Engineering only. The only difference is automobile engineering deals with automobiles and Mechanical Engineering deals with all kinds of Mechanical machines available.

You should score at least 180 for COEP (mechanical). Cut-off is slightly high for mechanical than other branch.

No, opting for computer science in class XI don't have any relation with mechanical engineering. To pursue B.Tech in ME, you need to score good marks in physics, mathematics and chemistry.

Monash university
RMIT
University of Adelaide
University of Melbourne
University of New South Wales
University of New Queensland
According to me, Germany is the best option for mechanical engineering. It is a hub for mechanical engineers. You should also opt for colleges in Germany.

Dear Shubham,
Electrical engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with motor and machines i.e. electrical machines like transformers, generators, etc. it's a core branch in which you study about the motor, power generation, transmission, erection, etc.
While mechanical engineering deals with thermal engineering in which you learn about refrigeration, gear system, machine design, the strength of materials, the theory of machines, fluid mechanics, etc.
While computer Science deals with software and computer languages like C, C+, JAVA, Cobol, oops in which you will learn about programming, coding, etc.

Hi Akshay,
You can join merchant navy directly after class 12th by clearing the NDA (National Defense Academy) exam or IIT-JEE.
Following is the eligibility criteria for the same:
1. Candidates must have completed class 12th with PCM subjects from any recognised institute.
2. You must have at least 55% in class 12th.
3. Must pass a medical fitness test for sea service under standard norms and with eyesight 6/6 with no colour blindness.
