Aeronautical engineering is a niche branch of engineering with limited career opportunities in comparison to Mechanical Engineering. It is suggested that you opt for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and follow it with M.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering to have benefits of both the engineering.

On a very general note, yes Canada could be one of the best possible choices for mechanical engineering. Opportunities and the labour pool are quite good in this field.
