NEET is the only gateway for admission into MBBS and BDS courses in India. For government colleges you need a NEET score of 70% in general category.

Getting NIT and MBBS at a government medical college equally difficult. The number of candidates appearing for both is nearly same or may be more for NITs. But difference is both belong to two opposite poles of streams.

Did you qualify NEET? If yes, then, as usual, you will need to appear for the state and spot counsellings of the respective colleges, rest of procedure remains same, except the fact of higher fee and related monetary issues. You need to apply with photocopies of 12th marksheet, domicile certificate, pass certificate, in addition some counselling board specific documents during counselling.

CMC-Vellore has a very good reputation and apparently, everyone is saying that cut-offs go sky high but as per the cut-off records, in past 3 years, the cut-off has reduced comparatively after the central counselling. Thing is, try your best, if you desire to take admission in CMC then forget the cut-off, just try your level best.

It would be better, if you appear after B.Sc, because then your 2 years would be saved, as it requires only a Bachelor's degree. With this strategy, you will get more time for preparation, and hence there are better chances of you cracking it.

It would be better to try to prepare for NEET along with the college. Hansraj College is very good college, and you should not be dropping it. In case you don't get an MBBS seat, then at least you have the Hansraj College in your hand. This will save your year from getting wasted.
