VMMC (ranked 16 by NIRF at the time) has excellent faculty and facilities, with fees around INR 2.56 Lacs for 150 seats. UCMS was ranked 19 by NIRF with a much lower fee of about INR 1.16 lakh. Both colleges offer strong placements and require a mandatory one-year internship. The comparison often comes down to personal preference on hostel life and campus feel.

That title goes to Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), with 250 MBBS seats. Founded way back in 1958, it's often called the second-best government medical college in Delhi. Many students who narrowly miss AIIMS end up here happily. It's affiliated with Delhi University and known for strong clinical training. No wonder it's called "the Benchmark" among Delhi medical colleges.

Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC) is Delhi's only female-only medical college. It offers 240 MBBS seats, all filled through MCC counselling. LHMC ranks among India's top medical colleges year after year. It's often the top choice for female NEET aspirants nationwide. Being all-women hasn't stopped it from being one of the toughest colleges to crack.

MBBS fees in Delhi vary from college to colleg. Government colleges like AIIMS, MAMC have very low, affordable fees often under INR 1 lakh, some even just a few thousand, while private colleges like ACMS - Army College of Medical Sciences  have high fees of around INR 14+ lakh. So, government seats are cheap, but private seats are expensive, making the overall perception of high fees dependent on the type of college.
