A Resident Visa is first step that allows you to live, work, and study in New Zealand indefinitely. A Permanent Resident (PR) Visa is granted after holding a Resident Visa for at least two years and meeting certain criteria. Key difference is that PR Visa removes all travel restrictions.

Without an SOP, your application risks rejection. The absence of a clear Statement of Purpose weakens your case, as it fails to justify your academic goals, financial plans, and commitment to return home.
