The syllabus for entrance exam of BF. Tech is same as that of all other NIFT entrance exams. CAT (creative ability test) & GAT (general ability test) are the two papers conducted all over India for students aspiring fashion studies. Particularly for BF. Tech, students are only supposed to answer GAT paper with the criteria of having maths in intermediate. The GAT syllabus is as follows-
English comprehension: 25 questions
Quantitative ability: 20 questions
Communication ability: 25 questions
Analytical ability: 15 questions
General knowledge and current affairs: 15 questions.

There is no CAT exam required for fashion technology for NIFT and NIFT offers the course named as B.FTech. It is a four year course and for joining the course minimum percentage, you require is 50% in 12th standard, and if you are from Science background then it is well and good.
