If you're planning to study or work outside J&K, or apply for national level exams or universities, NIOS is more versatile and better recognized.

If you're planning to stay in Jammu & Kashmir only, JKBOSE is perfectly valid.

 NIOS is more recognised and flexible overall.

Yes, you are eligible for NEET UG 2025 even if you're appearing for NIOS Class 12 exam in October 2025. As Per NMC GMER 23 guidelines, NIOS students with PCB and English, aged 17 by December 31, 2025, and meeting minimum PCB aggregate marks (50% General, 40% reserved) qualify

Yes, Kazi Nazrul University (KNU) does consider applications from students who passed via NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling), as long as the certificates are valid and recognized by MHRD or respective state education boards. For B.A LL.B (Hons) at KNU, you must have completed 10+2 from a recognized board (which includes NIOS) with at least 45% marks for general category, 42% for OBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates. Make sure to carry all original documents and submit them during verification. You may also be required to appear for a university-level admission test or counseling process.

Yes, NIOS is accepted for BCA in GGDSD College, Chandigarh. If you passed 12th from NIOS with 50% marks and had Maths in 10th or 12th, you can apply. Admission is just on merit, no entrance exam needed.

You can get NIOS Hindi question paper from previous examination including April 2025 primarily from the official NIOS website or other educational resource that host an NIOS papers

Yes, the institute which is called B.I.T, Mesra usually admits students who have done their Class 12th via The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) board to its B.Tech and other undergraduate courses. NIOS students, however, have to meet the same eligibility like normal board students. Sir JJ School of Art accepts candidates with 10+2 education from a recognised board or its equivalent for admission to its Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Diploma programs. Since NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) is a recognised board
