Students have to score 33% of the total marks to qualify the NIOS Class 12 board exam. For NIOS 12th, they have to score a minimum of 33% in the aggregate in the practical and theory exams.

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) conducts the NIOS 12th exam. NIOS Class 12th exams are held 2 times in a year. The NIOS 12th exam will be held in April-May (block I) and Oct-Nov (block II). Students can register in any block for the exam.

Students have to contact their regional centre in Gujarat to know the exam centre. NIOS Gujarat Regional centre is at Gandhinagar (M.S. Building, Near Pathikashram, Sector-11).

The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) began the registration process for the NIOS 10th, 12th public exam April-May 2026. Students appearing for NIOS board exam 2026 April-May are required to pay the exam fees through the official website, nios.ac.in. Students enrolled in stream 1, block 1 for March/April 2026 exam can pay the exam fee from Nov 21 to Dec 20, 2025 without late fee. They can do the fee payment from 21st December, 2025 to 31st December, 2025 with late fee INR 150 Per subject.
