If you belong to the OBC category of students and are aiming for NIT Calicut MSc courses, then you must aim to secure a cutoff rank of up to 1254 or less. For 2025, the first round cutoff list is out, wherein the closing ranks varied between 966 and 1254 for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota. So, considering the first round cutoff, it is better to have a lower cutoff rank to improve your chances of securing a seat at NIT Calicut for the MSc programme. Below are the MSc specialisation-wise CCMN first-round closing ranks of OBC category students:
| Course | CCMN Round 1 Cutoff 2025 (OBC AI Quota) |
|---|---|
| M.Sc. in Mathematics | 966 |
| M.Sc. in Chemistry | 1106 |
| M.Sc. in Physics | 1254 |
