Firstly admissions to National Institute of Technology are given based on the performance in examination called JEE Mains. As a matter of fact there is no other examination which is required to be cleared by the student to get admission in these institutes. On the other hand JEE Advanced examination will lead students for admission in IIT's. Thus we can SEE that these two examinations are required for taking admission in two different Sets of Institutions. Also there is no other examination that can get a student admission in either of these to Sets of institutions. In view of foregoing, we can conclude that these are the only two exam

SAT scores are indeed accepted for undergraduate BE/B.Tech admission under the DASA scheme in NITs. Under the DASA scheme, a certain percentage of seats are reserved for NRI/PIO/OCI students in NITs. The reservation criteria are as follows:
15% seats are reserved for applicants from the Non-SAARC countries.
2.5% seats are reserved for applicants from the SAARC countries.
27% seats are reserved for applicants from the PIO/OCI category. To be eligible for admission under the DASA scheme, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination (12th grade or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or 6.50 CGPA on a 10-point

Congratulations on securing a good EWS rank in JEE Mains!
As for your question, it is difficult to determine whether you can get a seat in NIT Calicut with rank 15795 in the EWS category as the admission process for NITs depends on various factors such as the number of available seats, the total number of applicants, and their respective ranks, among other things. However, you can refer to the previous year's cutoff ranks for NIT Calicut to get an idea about the expected cutoff ranks for this year. You can also use the Shiksha College predictor tool to get an estimate of your chances of getting a seat at NIT Calicut based on your rank.

With this percentile your rank is around 57k
With this rank you get lower NITs lower branch. Avg GFTIs avg. Branch
And lower IIITs. You are also eligible for state givt colleges like DTU, NSUT, in JAC Delhi councelling
Jac Chandigarh councelling and many more. In my 1st attempt I got this much percentile, in that time in CSAB round I got bio tech in BIT meshra. Choice filling also matters alot. Hope you understand, many opportunities are there, but please try to increase some more percentile to get top colleges with top branch. Good Luck!

The qualifying cutoff varies each year. The expected Cutoff for JEE Main 2023 is 88+ percentile for General Category, 75+ percentile for NC-OBC and EWS category and 45+ for SC Category. So it is best if an SC candidate scores 60 percentile in JEE Mains by which he /she can get into top NIT's.
