To get admission in NIT's you must completed your class 12th with physics, maths and chemistry. You need to pass the JEE ( Joint entrance exam) Mains . After clearing JEE Mains the next step is JOSSA counselling. participate in this counselling. The admission is only based on the JEE Mains exam and you must submit the required documents to institute and after counseling you pay the fee and get your seat.

Your chances of getting into an NIT depend on the previous year cutoff trends when you hold an OBC-NCL rank of 7059 in B.Plan for JEE Main. The cutoff ranks for B.Plan admissions in NIT Patna, NIT Raipur and NIT Bhopal under the OBC-NCL category during previous years have reached above 7000 during later rounds of counseling according to historical data. Some NITs have lower cutoff scores than others, so you may get in better if you apply to less competitive NITs. It is advisable to target for certain branches or specializations that have lower demand, leading to a lower cutoff score.
