To get admission in a decent NIT, regardless of branch preferences, a percentile score of 97 is optimistic for general category students. However marks required for 97 percentile differs on the basis of the hardness of the shift and relative performance of other students. A score of 130+ is considered target for a hard exam paper whereas 145 for a easier one. All the very best!

During 2023 NIT Surathkal placements, the placement rate recorded for BTech CSE and M.Tech CSE was 98.26% and 94.59%, respectively.
