Admission to PhD is based on ZCOER PhD Entrance Test scores, followed by PI. UGC-NET (including JRF), CSIR NET (including JRF)-qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance exam but are required to appear for the PI round.

Master’s degree in the respective/ related subject with an OGPA of 7.5/10 (7.0/10 OGPA for SC/ST) or equivalent OGPA/ aggregate

Entrance Examination & Interview conducted by the university

Veterinary & Animal Sciences

Master’s degree in relevant subject with an OGPA of 7.5/10 or equivalent qualification with equivalent OGPA/ aggregate from a recognised university

40% marks in Entrance Exam (30% marks for SC/ST) & Interview

(subject to seat reservation as per the rules of Government of Kerala)

Climate Change & Animal Agriculture

-MVSc/ MS (Integrated) CCA/ MSc (Biological Sciences/ Physical Sciences)/ any Master's degree in Agriculture Sciences/ Fisheries with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ST) or equivalent Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA)

-In-service applicants must have a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed research articles published

Candidates seeking admission to PhD course at Welingkar Mumbai must have a master's degree with at least 55% aggregate (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) or MPhil with at least 55% aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale is required to apply for the PhD course. Final admission to PhD is based on PhD Entrance Test (PET) score conducted by the University of Mumbai followed by a personal interview conducted by the research centre.

For PhD and MS, candidates can apply via the official website fo DoMS IIT Madras. The application fee for General category candidates (for PhD and MS) is INR 100 and for E-MBA, it is INR 1,500.

Yes, DoMS  offers  part-time  PhD  for  executives/working  professionals. However, they are required to complete a mandatory course work by attending classes in the campus which may take between six months to one year.

Aspirants must pass two to five years dual degree along with five years of managerial experience (for part-time & external) to apply for DoMS IIT Madras PhD course. Other than meeting the eligibility, candidates must have also qualified GATE/ CAT/ UGC-JRF/ UGC NET/ CSIR-JRF/ Research Aptitude Test, have an SOP and appear for the Personal Interview round for final selection.
