Yes, JGBS offers full-time PhD (with or without fellowship) and part-time PhD (without fellowship) for a minimum duration of three years and maximum of six years. Candidates who have passed a master's degree equivalent thereto in Business Administration or Economics or Commerce or in allied subjects or in Engineering/ Technology with at least 55% aggregate or PG Diploma in Management recognised as equivalent to MBA by AICTE or professional qualification, such as CA/ICWA/CFA/CS (both 5 years integrated or 3 years after graduation) with minimum 55% aggregate can apply for the PhD course. Candidates seeking admission to PhD programme need to appear for KIITEE, an entrance exam conducted by KIIT University. Candidates with valid UGC-NET score can directly apply for PhD admission.

Candidates must complete post-graduation in relevant subjects with at least 50-55% aggregate (45-50% aggregate for SC/ ST/ Uttarakhand OBC) to apply for PhD courses. Admission to the course is based on UGC/-NET/ JRF/ IUU Test scores followed by a PI round. IUU Test score is considered only for PhD Hotel Management. Yes, the institute can call students with a CGPI greater than 8.0 from IITs/IIITs/IISERs Or other such institutions of National importance can be called directly for interactive/interview sessions. Hence, these students have a chance of getting admission directly without any entrance examination.
