The duration of PhD ranges between 2-6 years depending upon the specialisation.  

Master’s degree in any branch of Engineering /Technology from a recognised university with at least 60% aggregate is the eligibility criteria for PhD in JNTUH.  

Admission to the PhD programme is based on an entrance test followed by an interview. Candidates with UGC-NET (including JRF), CSIR NET (including JRF), SLET, GATE, teacher fellowship score or who have passed MPhil Programme is exempted from the entrance exam but is required to appear for a Personal Interview (PI).

PhD programme is offered in 29 specialisations at Punjab Agricultural University. 

The annual intake of the University is 125 for PhD programme.

NIT Calicut offers 15 specialisations under the PhD course, including Computer Science & Engineering, Architecture & Planning, Management, Economics, English, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Biotechnology.

 Yes, UNOM admits candidates in PhD programmes based on merit in entrance-based. Candidates are shortlisted based on scores in the Madras University Entrance Test. These shortlisted candidates become eligible to participate in the personal interview round. The University of Madras also accepts UGC NET/CSIR NET scores. Candidates applying for these entrance exams need not take the university exam and are directly called for the interview round. Further, it is also crucial that each of the candidates meets the course-specific eligibility requirements.

The University of Madras offers PhD Research Scholars with a stipend between INR 19,150 and INR 20,835 per month. Stipend is given to the candidates in consideration for the designation.
