The syllabus of Diploma in IT branch of different universities is slightly different. In the first semester, each branch study common subjects like physics chemistry, Maths, communication English, etc. For more information, please go through this link:

Hello Adesh,
Yes, facility of lateral entry in 2nd year of engineering is given to diploma holders but please have a look at the matrix telling to which branch you can apply based on your branch in diploma.

Dear Ram, the minimum qualification for doing Diploma in engineering is class 10th with 50% marks. But as you did ITI then you will get admission easily in the 2nd year through lateral entry scheme for that you will have to appear in lateral entry entrance exam.

On average Diploma holders in IT Engineering, start with salary of about 1.8 Lakh per annum CTC whereas IT Engineering graduates start with CTC of 3.5 lakhs per month. Engineers draw initial increases between Rs 50000 to 100000 per annum whereas increase in Diploma holders salary is in the range of Rs 15000-25000 per annum.

Dear Braj,
You can do from anywhere but it will be good if you do from your own state university. Now, you can directly get admission in 2nd year after doing ITI. For that, you will have to appear in entrance exam conducted bye each state university.

Yes, you can do B.Tech from government colleges in Uttarakhand like College of Technology-Pantnagar, GBPEC, KEC-Dawaharat, etc. For then you will have to appear in UKSEE exam conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University every year and you will have to get a good rank. Students generally prefer COT-Pantnagar in Uttarakhand.
