You should first take JEE Mains and see where do you stand. If you are way down, then it's time to ask, why engineering? There are equally interesting professions around.

If your score is less and you are not able get admission, it's time you go to a career counselor. Engineering is not the end of the world.

Sorry to inform you but a Diploma course is not considered equal to a graduation degree course.
You have to take admission for Bachelor's degree course.
