You can get direct admission in the 2nd year its limitation is that you can take admission in IIT and NIT after doing diploma engineering but there are many good colleges available.

Dear Faisal, Diploma engineering exam is easier than JEE mains. You just have to work hard .you have to only make key notes and study regularly. Focus on basics as questions are always asked from basics.

Yes, you can do one course regular & with that one course in distance mode. You cannot do two courses at a same time regularly. There are many good universities available for distance education like Manipal University, Karnataka State Open University, etc.

You have to qualifying the JELET entrance exam then you got the college according to rank and branch.

It is a little typical to transfer from one government engineering college to another but if you will get good marks in the 1st-year & you have a genuine problem then you can easily change by submitting an application. Also, both colleges should agree.

No, it's not good to opt for polytechnic after 12th. You must first exhaust trying to get admission in engineering colleges. If it fails then only go for polytechnic.
