BMRT graduates are not eligible for MD in Radiology, which is reserved for MBBS degree holders. However, they can pursue a Master's in Radiological Technology (MRT), Medical Imaging Technology, or other allied health Science PG courses.

These postgraduate programs help graduates specialize further in areas like MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy, opening doors to academic, research, and higher-level technical roles.

The biggest challenge for radiology graduates in India is career growth. While job opportunities exist, salary increments are slow unless one gains experience in advanced imaging techniques or management roles.
Government job openings are limited and competitive, while private sector salaries vary greatly. Many professionals pursue higher studies like MSc Radiology, specialised diplomas, or MBAs to improve their career prospects and earning potential.

No AI and automation will likely not fully replace Radiology Technologists but they will change how they work.

AI acts as a tool to speed up image processing and improve accuracy and not just a replacement for hands on care, patient positioning and also critical human judgment needed to operate equipment safely.

Hope this helped solving your doubt! All the best!
