JKCET 2023: Tentative Exam Date (28 May), Admit Card SOON, Syllabus, Pattern, Result

JKCET 2023: Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) will soon announce the JKCET 2023 exam date. The tentative date of the JKCET 2023 exam is May 28. What is JKCET?

JKCET stands for Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test, conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE). Candidates striving for admission to BE/BTech programme in the government and private colleges of Jammu and Kashmir can register for JKCET. After qualifying for JKCET, candidates will become eligible for admission to various courses under BE/BTech like Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Communication Engineering and Bio-Medical Engineering.

JKCET 2023 Admit Card

The admission authority issues the JKCET admit card 2023 after the application process is over. Candidates can download admit card of JKCET 2023 in online mode only. To download the admit card, they will need login credentials like username and password. Details regarding the exam date, venue, timings and more will be available on the admit card. 

JKCET 2023 Syllabus

The authorities will release the JKCET syllabus 2023 online. The subjects, topics and units that have to be studied for the entrance exam will be released through the JKCET syllabus. The candidates are advised to check the syllabus to be well-prepared for the exam and to know the important topics that will be referred to while preparing the question paper.

JKCET 2023 Exam Pattern

The candidates should check the official JKCET exam pattern 2023 to prepare for the exam. The information related to how the exam will be conducted i.e., the mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more will be available in the JKCET exam pattern. As per the exam pattern of JKCET 2023, the examination will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test. 

JKCET 2023 Preparation Tips

JKCET 2023 Application Form

Eligible candidates can fill out the JKCET 2023 application form. JKCET application process consists of registration, filling out the form, uploading documents and payment of the fee. Incomplete and invalid applications are rejected. Before filling out the form, the candidates are advised to check the official eligibility criteria. 

JKCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Meeting the eligibility criteria to apply for JKCET 2023 is very essential as the applications of non-eligible candidates will not be accepted. Candidates can read the JKCET eligibility criteria below:  

• Candidates should be permanent residents of Jammu & Kashmir as defined in section 6 of the Constitution of the Jammu & Kashmir State.
• They must have passed the Class 12 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or any equivalent examination from a recognized Institute with at least 50% (40% for reserved category).
• Candidates should have completed 17 years as of December 31, 2023.
• Candidates who are going to appear in the Class 12 examination in 2023 can also apply for the JKCET.

Note: There is no upper age bar for appearing in the JKCET 2023 for admission to Engineering Courses, both in Government and Private Colleges.

JKCET 2023 Reservation Policy

JKCET 2023 Answer Key

Candidates will be able to access the JKCET answer key 2023 after the exam is over. The correct answers to the question paper will be available in the answer key. Candidates can make representation, if any, against any question in the required format within a period of three working days.

JKCET 2023 Result

The scores and ranks obtained in the entrance examination will be released through the JKCET result 2023. After the result is released, the JKCET merit list will be prepared on the inter-se merit acquired by students in the exam (in descending order for Open Merit Category and for each Reserved Category, separately). Qualified candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process.
