Robotics is a field of engineering that deals with design and application of robots and the use of computer for their manipulation and processing. It requires the application of computer integrated manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biological mechanics, software engineering and the like. In India there is no robotics in under graduate level, you have to go for M.tech. Only Mechanical, Electrical, Computer and Electronics engineers are eligible to pursue M.tech in Robotics. The premier institute in Robotics is The Center for Robotics and Mechatronics at IIT (Indian Institute of Technology), Kanpur which offers a Master's Degree Course in Robotics. Admission is through valid GATE score. The Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Departments of the IIT's offer courses in Computer Science with specialization in Artificial Intelligence, which is an integral part of Robotics. Nanotechnology is derived from the combination of two words Nano and Technology and is considered as the technology of future and is capable of bringing major technological advances in the 21st century. Nano Technology professionals are in great demand in mainstream electronics, industrial products and healthcare markets. Though, nanotechnology is still in early stages of development in India. However, graduates in nano-tech have plenty of opportunities in medical, healthcare industry research, environment industries, pharmaceutical, agriculture, universities, private research institutes, educational institutes, entrepreneurial, investment advisors in biotechnology, research and development in government, product development and advising, communication and media and interfacing of new technologies.At present, no reputed institute in India is offering courses in Nanotechnology at the graduation level.
