All scholls have different requirements for standardized testing. The University of the Pacific requires you to take either the SAT or the ACT to be able to submit an application for admissions. University of the Pacific has alos gone into a test-optional mode, meaning that you can provide a test score if you wish to. However, for international students, the TOEFL, IELTS or the Duolingo English test is needed. However, the SAT score comes handy here. If you have an SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 570, you can do away with the IELTS, TOEFL or the Duolingo test.

Usually, students take the SAT once they have decided to apply for undergrad abroad. Candidates should plan the test in such a way that they have the SAT scores with them at the time of applying to the colleges. The ideal time to apply for SAT should be after passing out from school after taking a month or two for preparation. Watch out for college deadlines. You need scores before you apply. Also check your school exams. Dont clash them. You need 2 months of peace to study. Plan ahead wisely.

The preparation of SAT exam solely depends on the applicants and how they have the SAT syllabus covered while they were in high school. The ease of SAT exam preparation depends on the applicants solely. The ideal way to register for SAT exam as an Indian student is through the online mode. Since the process of online SAT registration is easier, more flexible and accessiblilty is any day better, it is only feasible to apply for the SAT exam online. The process of offline registration for SAT can be tedious and may not allow students to make changes in the already submitted application.

QUT does not require SAT scores for Indian students. The admission requirements for Indian students at QUT include:
- Minimum GPA of 4.0 on 7-point scale
- IELTS score of 6.
- Minimum GMAT score of 550 (for MBA) 
- Additionally, students can take up academic and English language pathway programs if they don't meet the entry requirements mentioned above

SAT is not required for Indian students to take admissions to the University. The university instead requires students to satisfy the requirements given below:

  • Qualify for exams such as IELTS/TOEFL
  • Prove proficiency in German
