B.Tech is much better option from the job point of view or higher studies perspective. Most of the companies prefer B.Tech holder students. And also, if you have plans for higher studies, many foreign and Indian university admit B.Tech graduates.

In order to do M.Tech, you must have to clear your 4 years B.Tech from a recognised university. B.Sc. Is not eligible to do M.Tech in India.

For engineering courses, Maths is an important subject to get admission. Without Maths as a subject, one cannot get admission for engineering courses. For Diploma courses also Maths is important.

Sure, you can. I am an aerospace engineer by education who has very strong software development skills and develops algorithms for my current job at Raytheon. For my particular role in my particular missile programme, I develop software for simulations, control algorithms for the missile, data analysis software, and various other tools that can help with all of this stuff such as scripts to generate documentation or automate chains of tasks.
