For this stream, both are equally sorted. You would need to do a post-graduation, preferably from abroad or much better colleges than these two. If you are from North India then choose Amity or if you are from South then choose SRM. They both are similar in terms of education and infrastructure.

For General Category the total fees is INR 2.55 Lakh.
Boys Hostel Fee:-
1st Year: INR 100,750, 2nd and 3rd Year: INR 98,750.
Girls Hostel Fee:-
1st Year: INR 101,850, 2nd and 3rd Year: INR 99,850.

Yes, you can join SRM, Chennai after Diploma in mechanical. Just go and check the website of SRM and fill application form.
