Its just like comparing between equals as both are deemed universities. SRM was previously a professional institution with service reputation and rich pool of alumni, later upgraded in status. If you have regional bias and family or parental commitments, the UPES is in Dehradun and the main campus of SRM University is in Kattankulathur, Chennai. Petroleum Engineering and Energy related is the flagship course of UPES and is considered as Asia's first core sector university. SRM and UPES both have rich pool of faculty to draw from. Keeping your rank in consideration, it is better to go for SRM university as compared to kasturi ram institute. Refer to their website and also refer for integrated course

I think you should attend the counselling as manipal University has more reputation than SRM. Here you got a good rank too so you will get for first preference. But if location suits you SRM ktr than no need to think about it.

Hii, according to your marks you will not be eligible for a good government college.Joining colleges like SRM is all about spending money and getting a degree.If you are determined enough then I would suggest you to drop and prepare for jee mains again that will guarantee you a government college next year.

I can't tell you about SRM but I can only tell you about the facilities in MIT. When it comes to mechanical, MIT is quite good. We have well equipped labs, workshops, CNC training, latest software's like catia as a part of the college curriculum. Apart from it, I won't say all but yeah but professors are really learned. Apart from all this there are a number of student projects running which gives you a hands on practicality experience at under graduate level. I am myself a part of such project and being a part of such a project I have learnt TIG welding.
Facilities at MIT are quite good. There's 24 hour WiFi in most parts of the campus

According to me if you are money conscious than take drop and try to crack other exams like comedk if not JEE mains next year and get a better college than SRM .
