Below is the list of scholarships available to Indian students at Columbia University.

Shardashish Fellowship: Offers eligible Indian students willing to commit to India cost-free and $50,000 per annum. Proof of financial need and admission to specific programs is required.

JN Tata Endowment Scholarship: This is a merit-based scholarship meant for postgraduate studies outside the S-States, whereby the applicant must already have attained a minimum of 60% in the previous degrees.

Narotam Sekhsaria Fellowship: Provides full and partial scholarships as interest-free loans for Indian nationals less than 30 years for postgraduate courses

Cost of Living in Columbia University

There are several different costs associated with spending a few years living off-campus at Columbia University—for tuition, housing, meals, and mandatory fees. Tuition for the 2024-2025 academic year will amount to $34,000 per term.

Although specific charges for housing will differ, they will usually be rolled in with the general cost estimates. Other mandatory fees come to an estimated $891 per entry. Some personal expenses will also include health insurance premiums. Students can expect a considerable financial burden for covering living expenses while studying at Columbia.

Parameters used to calculate these rankings are quality of education, quality of faculty, research output, and per capita performance. USF is ranked at #301-400 in Shanghai rankings. In the previous year, this university was placed in the same position. This ranking for Shanghai rankings show that there has been a drop in the Shanghai rankings.

According to U.S. News & World Report, USF ranking in the National Universities category is #91 in 2025. In 2024, this university ranked at #89. For the Global Universities ranking, this university ranks at #332 in 2024-25. In all, considering the National Universities ranking, it can be said that the USF ranks among the Top 100 U.S. Universities. On the other hand, in the Global Universities ranking, it can be said that the university ranks among the Top 500 Universities in the world.
