Yes, you can definitely try the UGC NET in Environmental Science if you hold a Master's degree in Botany. The UGC NET eligibility criteria also include that such applicants holding their Master's degrees in subjects allied to Environmental Science are acceptable too. Botany falls in that category as an allied subject. Thus, you can take up Environmental Science as your UGC NET subject.
Except this, ensure you meet all other eligibility criteria
1. Marks: 55% aggregate at Master's degree level; for reserved categories it is 50%.

Admission to the B.Ed. course at the Boinchee College of Education requires candidates with at least 50% marks in either their Bachelor's or Master's in sciences, social sciences, or humanities. In alternation, the requirement is that candidates with a three-year Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology should have science and mathematics specializations, but with 55% marks.
Since you score 64% in your PG degree, you are eligible to join the B.Ed. programme at Boinchee College of Education. The college calculates eligibility based on the higher percentage between UG and PG; your PG percentage is sufficient to qualify.

The new syllabus for UGC NET 2025 is divided into two papers: Paper 1 carries topics like General Teaching and Research Aptitude which are: Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Comprehension, Communication, Mathematical Reasoning, and Data Interpretation. This carries a total of 50 MCQs carrying 100 marks. Paper 2 is subject-specific and contains 100 MCQs according to the chosen subject by the candidate.
