Total fees is Rs 4,180. Candidate must have passed B.Ed./ B.A.B.Ed./ B.Sc.B.Ed./ B.El.Ed. with minimum 50% marks or an equivalent grade from a recognized Institute/ University. No upper age limit. Admission is through counseling based on the rank obtained in Vishwavidyalaya Entrance Test (VET). Central Teaching Eligibility Test CTET is divided into 2 levels or papers. Paper I is for candidates who wish to teach classes 1 to 5 and Paper II is for candidates who wish to teach classes 6 to 8. In case candidates wish to qualify to teach classes 1to 8, they can appear for both papers in CTET.

Candidates who want to teach classes 1 to 8 need to appear for both papers. The CTET Paper 1 eligibility is different from CTET Paper 2 eligibility criteria.
