OTET Preparation 2025: Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, to enable candidates to gain eligibility for teacher recruitment in government, private aided and private unaided schools of the state. Candidates who qualify the OTET exam can become Class 1 to 8 teachers. To prepare for the exam, candidates should make a concrete study plan.

Know OTET Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Candidates must begin their preparations with the OTET exam pattern and syllabus. The OTET exam pattern 2025 makes the candidates familiar with the subjects, marking scheme, the number of questions and duration of the exam and the OTET syllabus 2025 makes candidates learn the important topics from which questions are asked in the exam.

Practice OTET Previous Years Papers

Once you get to know the basics of the exam, it is recommended that candidates should now undertake the practice of OTET previous years’ question papers and mock tests. This will help candidates in knowing about their weak and strong areas.

Time management

In the OTET Paper 1 or Paper 2, a total of 150 MCQs are asked. Candidates need to attempt these questions within a time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is suggested that candidates should try to attempt all the questions, as there is no negative marking in the OTET exam. Only those can solve the paper in the given time who have practised well.
