The admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges is based on your caste wise cut-off marks. Your cut-off is too low to get a top college. If you belong to SC/ST category then you can surely get a good college.
You are advised to apply for counselling under Anna University (TNEA 2017).
Mention your caste then I may help you.

The admission through TNEA 2017 is purely based on your 12th exam marks. There is no separate examination for admission. You are advised to apply for counseling at www.annauniv.edu for admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges.

The admission is based on the cut-off marks. the cut-off marks are calculated as follows:
1) Divide maths mark by 2
2) Then add the marks of physics and chemistry. and divide the total by 4
3) Add the resulting marks.
4) Now you will get the marks out of 200. This is called cut off marks.
For each caste-like BC, MBC, etc., there are different cut-off marks. So your caste and the marks out-off 200 determine your admission into Anna University and its affiliated colleges.
Mention your caste so that I can help you.
All the best!

PSG Institute of Technology is one of the prestigious institutions in Tamil Nadu. So, the cut-off marks will be really high. It also depends on your caste.
The following link gives you the cut off marks caste wise for the last year (2016). This year the marks may go higher or lower by one mark:

As the official cut off marks for this year is not till announced I'm giving the previous year cut off marks.
All the best!
