There is no separate exam for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). Admission is based solely on the candidate's class 12 marks. Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the prescribed subjects, which will be scaled to a total of 200 marks (Mathematics: 100, Physics: 50, Chemistry: 50) from the qualifying examination. The marks submitted by candidates in the TNEA 2025 application form will undergo normalization, and a merit list will be created based on the normalized scores.

With a TNEA score of 155.5 and a 7.5% reservation, your chances of securing a seat in top engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu are moderate. Top institutions like Anna University's College of Engineering, Guindy, typically require higher scores, often above 195. However, your reservation status may improve your prospects. Admission chances vary yearly based on factors like seat availability and applicant performance. It's advisable to participate in the counseling process and consider a range of colleges to enhance your admission opportunities.
